Tamro Drugstore Program (TDP)

Pharmaceutical wholesaler Tamro offers a new program – Tamro Pharmacy Program (TPP) instead of formerly widely used cash operations system BUUM3. Tamro sales director Mr.Ronalds Šlosbergs narrates.

“I would like to introduce Tamro Pharmacy Program (TPP), which is not the good old Tamro loyalty program for its faithful clients - aptieka 1 – but a new, modern pharmacy computer program, designed for optimization of pharmacy work in the present-day complicated circumstances of unsettled legislation and competition. Knowing the course of formation of this computer program, it can be safely called a Latvian product, as it has been elaborated entirely in Latvia. Presently and henceforth development and support of TPP will proceed, making use of one of the best resources of Latvian information technologies.

Not telling over all opportunities of TPP, many of which are mandatory and self-evident, we will highlight some of the most important ones:

  • Opportunity to refuse from usage of keyboard at the working place and use touch screens, thus vacating space for more necessary items on the pharmacy counter;
  • Control of reimbursed medicine price, reference price, code of diagnosis and discount percent at the moment of transaction as well as correct recording of the transaction on the receipt;
  • Entry of prescription data into the system at the moment of sale (if time permits) or later, as well as printing on prescriptions at the moment of sale of medicines;
  • Centralized lists of reimbursed medicines, diagnoses, medical establishments and contractual general practitioners;
  • Sending electronic reports on issued prescriptions of reimbursed medicines directly from TPP to Health Payment Center;
  • Formation of the list of fast-moving goods’ absence, option of automatic ordering and receipt of order confirmation;
  • Option to receive e-invoices from several suppliers;
  • Option to export the necessary data to accounting programs Tildes Jumis, Scala and Hansa Financials of the Accounting departmentautomatically;
  • Multiform reports for legislative bodies and pharmacy activities’ control.

Latvian pharmacies started to use this program at the beginning of 2008. At the beginning of September we received the next version of TPP-5.9, with improved areas of automatic ordering, receipt of order confirmation and e-invoices, as well as wider options to work with bank, supermarket and client loyalty cards.

Due to the various assets of the program pharmacists can serve the clients on up-to-date level and have more time for consultations, i.e., pharmaceutical care. Besides, upon acquisition of TPP, we offer the option of payment by installments”.
